* What is a Red Letter Day?
In the Prayer Book tradition, “Red Letter Days” are the major feasts of the Church year, such as the feasts of our Lord, the Apostles, and Evangelists. Their names were originally printed in red on early Prayer Book calendars to mark them as days to be observed by the whole Church.
