Fr. John Heffron
Curate
I was born and raised in New England and grew up in the Roman Catholic Church. My wife, Kristi, and I lived in Massachusetts before relocating to the Fort Worth area. I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Northeastern University in Boston, MA. I received a Master of Arts in Religion from Cranmer Theological House in Dallas, TX, and a Diploma in Anglican Studies from Nashotah House Theological Seminary in Wisconsin.
I am married to Kristi Heffron. We met at a Red Sox game at Fenway Park while we were both attending college in Boston. We have two daughters, Elizabeth (22) and Lillian (20). Elizabeth lives in New York City and is pursuing a career in acting. Lillian just finished her sophomore year at Texas A&M, where she is pursuing a degree in Industrial Engineering.
It was after moving to the Fort Worth area that we started attending St. Barnabas Anglican Church in Fort Worth. I was ordained to the Diaconate in 2018 and to the priesthood in 2024. I served as a Deacon at St. Barnabas and St. Vincent's. Following my ordination to the priesthood, I followed a call to serve the Hispanic community at both St. Barnabas and San Juan the Apostle in Fort Worth, TX. I am active in the mission field and have been on mission trips to Uganda, Mexico, the US, and Malawi. I also serve as chaplain in the CAPA program of the Fort Worth Police Department.
