Acolytes
Open to Youth of the Parish in the age range of 10 years through 12th grade
The ministry of acolytes allows our youth to serve as worship leaders each Sunday and at Diocesan services throughout the year.
Acolytes serve at the Altar during worship assisting the clergy and lay worship leaders, as crucifers by carrying the processional or clergy cross, torchbearers, servers, receive oblations, assisting at the table, carrying banners, and performing other important functions. Acolytes also serve at choral evensongs, weddings, funerals, and other special services.
Young people age 10 through the 12th grade may serve as acolytes. After required training sessions, they join one of the acolyte teams.
